France

Grande Palais FranceOne of the world’s travel jewels is France. Aside from good food and great wines, France is especially known for its unique history, culture, and heritage. France also oozes with the warmth of its people, the French who are famous for their enjoyment of life. France is clearly among the “Best of the Best” vacation travel destinations.

Paris is the capital and the largest city of France. It is also France’s center of art and learning where many great artists have made a name because of their beautiful masterpieces. Famous Paris landmarks are, of course, the famous Eiffel Tower, the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Louvre Museum.

The Eiffel Tower is France. The Eiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. King Edward VII of England, then Prince of Wales, opened the tower.

France is also known for its snow-capped Alps, sunny beaches and steep cliffs, fishing villages, and the historical Loire Valley, which is home to several historic chateaux or castles. Many regions of France are blanketed with colorful apple orchards, dairy farms, vineyards and fields of golden wheat.

The wines of France are considered the best in the world. French restaurants also offer the best breads, appetizers, sauces, soups and desserts that France is very known for. Tourists will never get tired of the breath-taking places France has to offer. Touring the estates, chateaux, cathedrals, museums, and art galleries; and tasting the superb wines and wonderful food are experiences that will make you crave to visit France over and over again.
